Did you know you can make nut milks at home with just nut butter and water? It's such a great trick for those moments when you want a delicious protein snack to take on the go. It also makes a great weekday breakfast on the way to work. The recipe is as simple as throwing 2 tablespoons of nut butter in a blender with 1 cup of water.
I used Justin's vanilla almond butter, which I think tastes sweet enough already, but you can always add honey, sugar, maple syrup, agave, or even dates (or other dried fruit) to enhance the sweetness.
I also used Justin's for the chocolate hazelnut butter. I love that stuff. I think it's even more delicious than Nutella because it has a stronger hazelnut flavor and isn't so cloyingly sweet. Nutella can be great, but it kind of tastes like frosting. Justin's chocolate hazelnut butter has a thicker texture and tastes much more substantial.
